Mary Ann Greenelsh

Mary Ann Greenelsh retired from a management career in the travel industry just as the Covid 19 pandemic was becoming the collective new normal. This allowed her to explore her creative endeavors, do more yoga and delve into family history research.

The boxes of old family photos and stories came calling, and the writing began. This effort resulted in a book she authored, Unboxed: Conversations with My Ancestors.

After a deep dive into her family history, she realized how much was never captured or lost. She also acquired a deeper understanding into why stories matter for the present, past and future generations —and the profound gift of healing that came out of the process. Passing down stories, wisdom and blessings is a part of the legacy we leave, particularly for women who often nurture the family’s traditions, values and memories.

The art and practice of legacy writing and becoming a workshop facilitator was a natural fit for Mary Ann. She believes your story matters. Your legacy matters.
